Week 6

I decided to start this blog to document my pregnancy and have something to look back on years from now. I'm also going to try to see this chalkboard thing up. I'm pretty excited of how the first one turned out.

How far along? 6 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 0 lbs so far but I had someone tell me they could tell today. Kind of sad bc I'm sure I haven't gained anything.
Maternity clothes? Nothing yet but I'm excited to start wearing them to have a new wardrobe.
Stretch marks? Not any new ones. I've been using Mustela Double Action Cream and crossing my fingers it keeps any more away.
Sleep: Today is the first time I have felt more tired than normal so we will see where this leads.
Best moment this week: Getting to share the news with my friends from nursing school.
Miss Anything? Last week I missed eating peach mango salsa. I'm not sure the kind we buy is free of bacteria as if it were processed and in a jar so I'm refraining.
Movement: Nothing yet.
Food cravings: I haven't had very much of an appetite so I'm just making myself eat when I know I should.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Thankfully no and I hope it stays that way..
Have you started to show yet: I don't think so but like I said earlier, someone else thinks I am.
Gender: Too early to know. I'm just going crazy waiting for our first sonograms of white fuzz. 3 weeks from today.
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: My usual self, happy!
Looking forward to: Our 8 week appointment in 3 weeks.

Finding Out

So November 6th was the day. It was the day I was supposed to start my period and I really didn't think I was pregnant but I decided to grab a cheap test and take it just for the heck of it. So while I wanted for the 3 minutes the tests says to wait, I took Dexter out. When I came back in I was in shock when I looked at the test and saw 2 lines. Of all the tests I have taken, I wasn't expecting this but I was super excited! Ian was on his way home from work and I couldn't wait to tell him. He was having a bad week and I knew this would cheer him up. He barely got inside the door when I held up the test for him to see with a huge smile on my face. He said, "Are you sure that's what it means?" We are both so excited to be pregnant after a few months of trying.
